After previously modifying an existing open-source typeface, it was time to venture into creating an original. Three different original designs were created and one of those was chosen, Element.
Designing the letter forms was a challenge as many letters have defining features that became lost in the simplification. Readability was also challenging, but after a while working on kerning and other minor changes to the letter forms the end product ended strong.
